Sunrise announced a new Code Geass to premiere next year with character designs by CLAMP.

Vertical, Inc. announced the pickup of the Manga version of 5 Centimeters per Second and Sakuran.  Both will be a single release.

Also releasing Messages to Adolf in 2 volumes.

Announced at their NYAF / NYCC panel was the launch of their first digital Manga app for the iPad.  The app will be available tonight.  ‘Fairy Tale’ will be one of the launch titles and will be on special for first 2 weeks at $2.99 instead of the usual $4.99 price which most titles will be priced.  3 other titles will join ‘Fairy Tale’ at launch with many more to follow.

The company also announced the license for ‘Attack on Titan’.

Yen Press announced the aquisition of ‘Madoka Magica’ at this years NYCC / NYAF. The company has also licensed ‘Soul Eater Not!’, ‘The Disappearence of Nagato Yuki-chan’ and ‘Until Death Do Us Part’. The company will be releasing the english version of ‘Soul Eater Not!’ simultaniously with the Japanese release, digitally.

Yen Press has also “rescued” ‘Alice in the Country of Hearts’ from Tokyopop and will release the the series in 3 omnibus editions in June of next year.

Funimation to release Fafner series and movie, Oblivion Island film.

Gen Fukunaga was on hand to announce partnership with Nico Nico to simulcast seven titles in US.  Niconico.com/anime for the shows, including Last Exile, Guilty Crown, C3, Nursing Nikki, Maken-ki, Shana III & Future Diary.

Aniplex announced some of the English cast for Madoka Magica today at NYCC/NYAF.

• Sarah Williams – Sayaka Miki
• Cassandra Lee – Kyubey
• Christine Marie Cabanos – Madoka Kaname

Also, Madoka magica will have 3 different packagind options. Standard DVD release, Standard Blu-ray and a Special Edition Blu-ray/DVD/CD combo pack. The Limited Edition will come with collector’s box and include a 24-page booklet, a double-sided poster, Kyubey sticker, original soundtrack CD and postcards.

The Series will be released in 3 parts starting February 2012 and continueing on in April and June.

Crunchyroll has acquired the distribution rights for ‘Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere’ for broadcast, bringing their total shows with new episodes to a total of 20 for the fall season.
